Hi , I went to the history fare in york last week and picked up a card for 30 days free trial to the genealogist web site , i tried it last night and got the trial also 10 free credits. When trial ends you can subscribe if you want and you get freeby's with that also , its worth a look . Heres the webpage www.thegenealogist*co*uk/freesub change *for dots have to go out now will be back later if anymore info needed. good luck sue ps this a update , i am sorry for not making it clear to you all , but this free offer as far as i am aware is for new registrations , ie if you are already registered on the site in question you will not be able to have the free offer .Again i am sorry for any misunderstanding. sue x

Hi I have been a member of the Genealogist for about two years now, at the moment it works out as £69 for a year of unlimited searches and it is very helpful. Although I use Ancestry too, I find this one sometimes sets information out more clearly i.e. censuses, as it has most of them transcribed. Another thing it has just introduced,on the transcribed census, sometimes it has the occupation of an individual and a link to tell you exactly was the job involved. It has the following records BMDs World War One and Two Deaths Parish Records Census Transcripts Directories Specialist Records Wills and Testaments It does not have all of the above for every county but it is worth looking for free to see what youcan find. It also has a smart search where you can find children from the father or mothers surname and the mothers maiden name. Take a look while its free!! Marilyn

gillian did you get a email from the site ? if so click on the link within it and that should let you access your free trial , the thing i did was , when i went back on site thru the email link , i was being talked to by my son and wasnt watching what i was doing and clicked on the map on the site , and didnt realised it took 10 credits to veiw , so there was my credits gone in 1 swoop , then to cap it all i came off the map without looking at it properly as my son was being a pain , so had to sort him out . hope this helps , i dont understand why you cant get it as everyone before you as had the freeby already no probs . Pm me if you still dont get any joy i will see what i can do . meercat ---- dont know why its saying that to you if you are not a member on the site , but i will look again and see what i can suggest, regards sue

new update when you have registered for the freeby , and go back to the site through your own browser , the web address needs to be ---------- www*thegenealogy*co*uk only, you need to leave off the free sub bit at the end . this is only after you have registered and , got special offer, gone back to site through link in your email , signed out , then gone to site again . Hope this will help . sue x
