Have hit a stumbling block with my grandad Robert William Breslin born in Longford Ireland 1921. Died 31/5/1988 Brighton. He Married a Lillian Ricketts bn 1927 died 22/12/1991 and one of 5.

Robert and Lillian had four children which I know about. Would like to trace more about them and their parents and any more.

Lillians dad was Samuel Ricketts.

yes he was born in Longford, does it say who his parents were at all?

A tree on Ancestry says (without offering any proof) that Robert's father was Charles Burke, and his mother's surname was Breslin.

No further details about his mother.
The tree says Charles Burke was born in Scotland and died in Longford - no date given.

If so, search "Public Member Trees" for Robert William Breslin born 1922.

Among the results you'll see a tree called "Breslin Tree". The owner is"brez25".

That's where I found the mention of Charles Burke.

On some other tree Shirley has found Charles as being born 1895, Scotland.
I don't see that tree, but I'm sure she can tell you which one it is.
