This is interesting on the probate records:

MALONEY James Charles of 152 Eversholt Street London NW1 died 5th April 1965 at Whittington Hospital Highgate Wing London N19. Administration London 18th May to James William Maloney machine winder £3792

These middle names are a match for June's father and twin brother.

ADDED: it is the right family - just checked the electoral roll and Ethel is there too at number 152 Eversholt St.

I really appreciate your help Janice - thank you so much, you have given me so much to go on and so much information to give mum in law considering she knows practically nothing about her family tree - she will be touched and pleased x

It might be worth pursuing James William's family if possible as they could have useful info or even photos if you're lucky :-)
