~~~Secret Red ^^ Squirrel~~~ **007 1/2** Report 3 Feb 2012 22:46
I think it is in Copperplate.
My eyes are tired and I cannot seem to make out some of the words. I really appreciate any help.
The family names that I am familiar with on the will are Blunt, Lovell and Stayton. Some of the relations lived in Camberwell which ties in with census records. However some of the words just appear gobbledygook to me.
I really would appreciate any help. Many thanks
Hi Rose, you obviously do like a challenge lol Many thanks for your kind offer.
There are definitely words that I can't get - the trouble is that there are so many and they're dotted everywhere!
To be honest, I found it quite overwhelming - probably because I'm quite tired too.
I'd appreciate it if you could try and decipher it and then send me the text and then at least I would know that I've interpreted some of the words correctly and have some lines that I understand.
However, don't feel like you have to transcribe it all as it may make your head hurt like mine lol
You really are an angel - pity they don't have an icon for that!
A whole multitude of angels - Thanks Gwyn :)
I really struggled with the handwriting, I'd sent for another will that I received this week from a different area of the country and i had no problems reading it - this I really struggled with.
I've got quite a way with it, will type it up and send when I've finished, and maybe Gwyn will spot the words I miss and vice versa lol.
Hi Joy, I've sent you a pm :)
I wish I did, it made my head hurt lol It is interesting though. It's quite interesting as it mentions a few people that I don't recognise. I'm wondering if I can track them down.
There are a few wills of her siblings which I haven't sent off for yet. I started off with the first death of the family hoping that it may mention more people.
Yes, it looks like that on the will too - the Fs seem to look like S! That happened to FG Blunt, it looked like SG Blunt.
Even the number fits - Thank you Thelma....you've found her. I wonder who she is?
