	did you know of the lancashire sites which can be v useful? lan-opc.org.uk (in this case not particularly useful) and lancashirebmd.org.uk which gives Mary Ellen's birth showing mmn = Lowe Lancashire Birth indexes for the years: 1882 Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Mother's Maiden Name Reference ARROWSMITH Mary Ellen Culcheth Wigan & Leigh LOWE CUL/36/261 which then lets you find on freebmd.org.uk Marriages Mar 1881 (>99%) ARROWSMITH Samuel Leigh 8c 191 Lowe Nancy Leigh 8c 191 all the above sites are free to use
