Hi Lou
Your first thank you came through - so I am now doubly rewarded! But thank you for taking the trouble. By the way, I came across the info re Wrexham on the rootschat Denbighshire forum - I have found it very helpful for local knowledge.
Best wishes, Cathnl

Hi PigletsPal and Cathnl,

I did reply yesterday to both of you, I only noticed today that it didn't get added to my thread.

Thanks to you both for taking the time to reply, its much appreciated. I wasn't aware that parts of Wrexham were missing or that people didn't want to be recorded - both of which were new to me, so thanks for that.

Regards, Lou

Why does Mary Jones have a d.o.b. of 1794, but in 1851 it is down as 1801. I know that ages do stretch a little but 7 years, is it the same wife?- jle

Hi PigletsPal & Cathnl,

Many thanks for your comments and help. The 1841 info is new to me so thank you so much for that.

Cathnl thanks to you too. I also didn't know that some of Wrexham was missing in 1841. Still I'm very pleased to have got back that far, so I'm lucky really.

thanks again to you all for your help.

Regards, LOu

I think that quite a bit of Wrexham is missing from the 1841 census - see https://wiki.familysearch.org/en/Wales_Missing_Census_Records_1841_to_1901. You may just be unlucky I'm afraid.

Hi Linda,

That's the correct baptism for Elizabeth, William was also on the same record.

How do you search for the address? I've had another go and can't seem to access anthing.

Hi Joanne, & Linda,

I don't think they would be at boarding school. I have all their children's baptism records too. Actually William and Elizabeth were baptised together in 1837 and it confirms parent's names and occupation and their address which confirms they were living in Chester. Actually I've just taken another look at it and it states George Street Chester. Never realised that before, so that's a clue. Doh!.

Is there a possibility of the children being at boarding school? I have found a William Jones the right sort of age at Winton House Academy?

I know I've had a lot of trouble with spellings in 1841 and people being missing, i think it's one of the hardest ones with the format of it.

I'm also having a look but am aware someone else will probably beat me as i'm not as fast yet as a lot of other people! lol
