It's hard to tell,but given the area and mother's maiden name as Jarvis,I thought they were likely.

Have you not used FreeBMD to look yourself?

No I've never heard of it. I only started using this yesturday so I'm still learning.

Henry, they are all children born as Castleton, with a mother's maiden name of Jarvis.

So much for the free access on NYE - those of us who pay good money can't even reply to a thread!

I don't recall getting any notification from GR that, as a paying member, I might have difficulty in using the site tonight.

Oh, my reply eventually went through.

Henry, Free BMD is free:

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

and gives Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1837 up to various dates. After about 1910 (I forget!) it shows the mother's maiden name. It is a very useful search tool, do have a look at it and practice searching on it.
