I see the Help Clinic has effectively disappeared, and the star has gone from my name (at last!). Phew! At least they have listened to us so credit due there.

Well I never got my star and Estelle is not answering emails from me and a couple of others.

GR did not think it through very well.

Oh well having seen a lot of the threads critising the Help Clinic I think I would rather leave things as they are

Pleased we are all back together again on an equal footing. Still some glitches with the site which need sorting out though. GR are aware so hopefully there will be some action soon. I find it strange that recent changes have been reported on Facebook ( to which many don't have access ) rather than this site.

Would have been nice if we, the customers, had been told first.

No Facebook or similar for me either, they seem very trivial and far too intrusive.

Oh Dear,

looks as if I'm not back to normal either as I've now got %7E added to either side of my name now!

I did give in on Wednesday evening and joined fb .... just so I could read the GR board or wall or whatever it's called for myself.


I swore I would never join fb ....... but I was fed up of being left in the dark about GR's intentions as they were posting them only on fb

I get emails from Estelle ................. but I cannot reply to them, or send new emails to her or Support. My server tells me they are blocked?!!

Nice to have you back, Jan, and you do look better without that big yellow star on your shoulder.

My main probelem now is the fact that people can delete their post without it showing on the board. I was accused yesterday of talking to a ghost because I had responded to someone who had deleted their post.

There were a lot of posts yesterday that made no sense because people were responding to posts that had been deleted with nothing to show that a post had been deleted.

I didn't accuse you, Margaret

........... I just said it would have been nice to have been able to see slartibart's postings so that it didn't LOOK as though you were talking to a ghost!

You're right, Sylvia, you didn't accuse me. I tend to exaggerate. My excuse is it's in my genes as I'm finding out as I disprove the stories that my ancestors told me.

Thanks for the "welcome back" comments, much appreciated. Not sure I'll ever be "normal" but here's hoping.
Jonesey, I still seem to have the "extras" but not sure how long for. One problem I had all along is that I can't view any FMP images on the account set up by Genes, though I have no problems with my existing 1911 account.
