No help at all, but it's interesting to see how many folk gave their sons this biblical name on freebmd. Some weird and wacky surnames to go with them too!!

Hope you get a breakthrough Sue. Cx

I have tried to apply logic (don't laugh). I am pretty sure it is Rupert. I looked for Nicodemus R, Nicodemus H, Rupert as a stand alone name and absolutely nothing.

There are later Rupert/Hubert Courts (he may well have ditched his primary name when he married) but I'd never prove it sadly.

I am leaning towards him either dying (and unrecorded) or being taken in by another family and his identity being altered completely.

I'll expand the search through the other branches of the Court family *groan*, just how many Courts can there be who are blacksmiths? Don't answer that I already know..lol
I am hoping a male child may have sneaked into a census without a birth record.

Thanks for helping

Could there be two different families here.Emily Adelaide having Lucy and Nicodemus.
Emily Eliza having Maud and william.
1911 Emily written her age as 46=1865 and it also says 2 children one died,Maud is with her and William died 1903.

There is no census record that I can see where they are all on together,it has been Emily and Lucy and Nicodemus or Emily and Lucy and Emily with Maud and William.

I know this doesnt help the search, but would make sense of the age differences with Emily.

Am I loosing the plot!!!!!!!

This could be Emily Eliza'a death.
Emily E Evans 1917 age 53 =1864.
Guildford 2a 240.

I know there are more than one branch who favoured all the same blasted Christian names, that is not making life easy.

LiZ I'll contact them thank you.
