ive been traceing my anncestor William Galvin, i found on census records that he lived in England, but was born in Ireland in c1824, does anyone know how i can research the family history back in Ireland (County Clare i believe),

I have found a death for William Galvin but the age is slightlly out and he must have been working away from Halifax.
As the death is registered in Wortley which is Sheffield/Barnsley area.

As you can see from the 1891 census for Mary she was born in Roscommon Ireland which gives you a lead for your research for the marriage.

I will look for Mary Jane on the 1871 census to see if they were actually in England on the night of the ceensus.

Will also do the births.

As you can see from this census I have found Wiliam again and he has a couple more children and his year of birth has changed.
But I would say this si definitely the same William as the 1881 census.
