Janey, I think we have to remember, and make allowances for, new members who are unsure of this site and don't quite know what to do, let alone being new to family history.
We were all beginners once, were we not?

Hi Emma,
Quite a few people have added information, so I would suggest what you do now is go through all your message posts, and gather together all the information you've been given, and tie it into your tree. I think you've got a fair bit to work with.
Then you will start to see the wood from the trees, so to speak, and it will be easier for you to determine what remains to be found, or what you would like to find.

To find your previous posts go to 'my threads' which is in the blue box on the left of this page.

Karen, how nice of you to reply -- to me and me alone, standing apart from *all* the people who have expressed their displeasure in *all* of Emma's threads!

When I was a beginner, I spent a long time reading the boards and familiarizing myself with them before I posted anything .... as I have done at all the many internet boards I have used since about 1995 ....

Karen, it's not just that there were multiple threads...beginners do that we know...

but one of those threads was added today ...after ALL the info was posted by searchers , me included, yesterday .....Emma WAS aware of how to get back to her threads I think as she posted thanks on one of them , there is a limit to people's patience and it's not just Janey that has hit her limit, see other threads for the number of people 'wasting ' their time on this.

Hi
I don't usually comment on threads but as someone who added to the thread I felt I wanted to comment.
I agree with Karen that sometimes it's difficult for beginners.
I have to say that I think the advice given to Emma was somewhat confusing which is why I continued to look for her.

If you read through all the threads in actual fact the amount of duplicated information is very little as we chose different people to research.

Lets hope Emma comes back and has not been put off by the adverse comments otherwise we will have wasted our time.
