Oooh Blossom

They look like they could be right. Where did you find them please? I'd like to get the original image. Also any other details I can get from the census.

Thanks again

Hi GypseyJoe

A subscription to Ancestry.co.uk will give you access to census 1841 - 1901, plus Birth, marriage and death and much much more - you can download the original papers from here apart from BMD certificates. They add new things to help us all the time. Recently they added WWI information.

You will need to cross reference information you have on proven certificates to help you go back with the census. So you will need to check what qtr and year to order certificates.

Also you can use Freebmd.co.uk (but that info is on Ancestry).

Also Familysearch.org.uk - this has birth, marriage & death going back centuries and also the 1881 census. All free to view.

Some time ago I subscribed to EOLFHS (East of London Family History Society) and found so much information there too. But then all of my ancestors were from that area for centuries.

Good luck with your search. Don't hesitate to ask for help.
Kind regards
Angela

Thanks Angela

I did have an ancestry subscription at one stage but found it rather unuseful, I have tried family search but have never found any of my family on it, not sure why there.

I'll have a look at the link too thanks. I did go to a records centre in East London once but I can't remember where it was. May have ben near Whitechapel.

Why would it show on ancestry but not on the others?
