Wow,you guys have been busy.so what you are thinking is that my Grandmother Rose (or Rosa) perks married first a man name Wright in 1908 and then married William Bennett (my Grandfather) in 1932 the year my father was born.
Rosa died in 1936 which actually ties with what I think I know.
Is there any way that I can view a birth certificate before I buy a copy as this is becoming quite expensive.
Thanks all for your help and keep it coming, i can't thank you enough.

There is no way you can see what's on a cert before you buy it. However, the info on a marr cert is identical to the parish register (if the marr took place in a church), and you can view parish registers, although they record baptisms not births, and burial services, not deaths. Older registers are usually found at the county records office, but I don't know that in this specific case.

You can buy certs from the GRO or the local RO. Sometimes the local ROs are more helpful over the phone.

There is no online entry for the 1908 marr to Wm Wright, but none of the non-conformist Burton on T churches have been indexed yet, nor have any births.

[Looks like a registers office marriage to me, although it could be an RC marr]

Andy
Can you tell me where you found the entry for Rosa Bennett's death in 1936?

I want to thank you all, Andy, Heidi, MGNV, Ozibird, Jill, Christine and anybody I may have missed.

Great news...I was today contacted by a long lost cousin and now begins the task of catching up with dozens of relatives on my father's side that I never knew existed.

Thanks to you all again
Paul
