Good luch, Rachael, as I said I've been looking for more than 40 years and haven't found the family gold yet!

Yes we all seem to have the same problems...lol. Insurance would not cover all the hard work in the event of a house fire my god, how will I sleep tonight? hee

I can leave all my stuff to my son who got me started on this with his questions. The only problem is, who will he then leave it to as he doesnt have any children - at least none that I know of! My daughter has 3 but I dont know if they are going to be interested.

Note to self: find out which young relatives might want it if my lot dont.

Huia.

I'm back again after watching Esther Rantzen WDYTYA?

With regard to house fire - it's my biggest fear!

I copied all my files and insisted that my son put them in his attic!
Every now and then I give him a bit more!

Death certs - I've recently received one for my great grandmother. She died of 'coal gas poisoning, accidental'
I cried even though I never knew her - OH thought I was mad!

OMG you have all terrified me now with your stories of house-fires and me not having done any back-ups of anything yet!!!!

I have only just started researching although I have been on here since 2003 when I joined in the hope of finding a half sibling who I never actually knew existed and he found me though this site, I have now found such a lot of information both of living and dead relatives I would be devastated if I were to lose it all.

I will be doing a back-up copy tomorrow!

My kids and OH don't get why I'm doing this either.
