Looking for info on Eastman Family

Hi can anybody help me please I am looking for the parents of My grt grt grandparents William Eastman born 1820 Battersea who married Mary Ann Evans in Shoreditch 1846 Mary died Islington 1861 they had 4 children Wiliam Jane James and David. I would be very grateful for any help with this. J.E.T.

If you get his marriage certificate, it will give you his fathers name and confirm whether the above is likely to be correct.

Hi Sam I think James and Ann are his parents will I have to go to London for info on them not too good at this yet.

Not necessarily. You really do need to get his marriage certificate or find him on a census to make sure that these are the correct parents - there was another William Eastman baptised at the same place a year earlier so you need to be absolutely sure.

You could try the IGI to see if James Eastman and Ann had anymore children, then you could look for a marriage between them.

It is possible that they were still alive in 1841 or 1851 so try and find them on a census to see when where they were born.
