Hi Julie
Sorry but these marriages only go up to 1837, too early for your people.

Hi Moggie,
would you do a look up for me please? George Cooper b.1847 Isleham, Cambs.Agnes Ellen Chapman 1846 from West Row nr. Mildenhall.Their first child Thomas was born in 1870 in Newmarket Suffolk. My late father has written nee Tricker against her name so I have always wondered if it was a 2nd. marriage? Cheers and thanks ,Julie

Hi Shelly
Nothing in the Fordham deanery for Isaac Barber & Lucy, sorry. The only Barber marriages were
Susanna Barber & Joseph Morley 3rd Jan 1836 Lakenheath.
Eliza Barber & John Watts 16th March 1833 Lakenheath.
Alexander Barber from Lakenheath & Susan Prince 19th May 1832 Icklingham A/Ss
I also looked in Norfolk Marriages 1801-1837 & although there are loads of Barbers none for an Isaac.

Moggie Report 25 Apr 2008 22:28

The only extra info that you may get from a pre 1837 marriage is that either the bride or groom came from another parish and it would tell you if either was a widow or widower. It will not tell you names of fathers etc. To find this info you would need to look at the actual register in a Suffolk Record office.
