If they are an Australian citizen and enrolled to vote, you can look at the current electoral roll at any Electoral Commission Office. Its free, they don't ask any questions, just go in and use the public access computer. I have looked up quite a few people that way, but it only gives full name and address, so you need a very distinctive name or some idea of where they live. But you might be able to narrow it down to some possibilities.

Have had some kind folks offer to look at Electoral Rolls and they have come up with some possible names/addresses which can be followed up.
