Hi Laura

Would you be able to look at the 1851 census for me please.

I have the death cert for my gt gt gt grandfather WILLIAM THOMAS BEARD who died in 1852 aged 82 at 9 Gt Smith St, Westminster. It shows his son CHARLES BEARD as living at the same address.

I don't have access to the 1851 census but in 1861 this address is shown as a Licensed Lodging House.

I have just come on this site today in a hope to find my family background but unfortunatly none of my family seem to know exact details past my great grandmothe born in 1914 her name was Mons New and she was born in Southampton however there has been some hear say she was born on the isle of wight! I'm looking for any information on Thomas Cairns. He lived in Glasgow with his wife Mary Ann Lynch but I think he was born in Ireland c1860. His parents were Michael Cairns & Ann McBride. His surname is sometimes spelt Carn. His wife's parents were James Lynch & Mary Boyd.

I couldn't see anything either, are you sure that the names and dates are correct? I tried the 1871 census, when he would have been 5, but the one and only Archibald Price i came accross was this one:

I did search for Emma Lander but there was no exact match, and although there were lots of Emma Lander's none were born the right year or place.

I checked the birth entries and this is what i found:
