Hi Rick; Can I ask you to check for Joseph Benjamin Walker born abt 1836 in Cheltenham, Glos. Fathers name also Joseph. I have nothing at all on him for earlier than 1871 when he was in Battersea, London. His father was a tanner according to Joseph Benjamin's wedding cert. He was married in Devon. Joseph junior was a traveller and seem to be hard to trace for that reason. I am trying to find anything at all on him including his mothers name or where he was on the 1851 and 1861 census.

Hi Rick; Thanks for checking for Joseph Walker. More hunting to do!! Can I ask you to also check for any Boakes born in Rainham or Aylesford Kent. We know they are all connected just have to figure out how. Names that I know are Abraham, Thomas, William, Richard, Eliza, Edwin, Sarah, John. Anything at all would be a help. I have various members on the 1881 and 1871, nothing earlier.

Linda, This lot may be completely unrelated to your ancestor. These are the only ones in Leicestershire in the 3% sample from 1851 though. Rick.

hi rick, could you please have a look for a william walker [b 1844/46 manchester. ] his father was also called william walker, many thanks, sue. ps elder ones occupation was an iron moulder. fingers crossed.
