Hello Sarah: ELLEN (or Eleanor) MARY KEAST born Woolwich ca 1850; father Samuel, gunner in Royal Artillery barracks there; mother unsure - variously Ellen, Elizabeth or Ann. Wonder if you might spot her christening in Woolwich? Many thanks, Gordon

Hi Gordon Iam sorry to say this disc does not cover that Parish. The list of what parishes this disc covers are on the first page. If there is a parish on the list i would be more that happy to check for you. Is there a parrish thats near that area, as there has been quite a few people wanting look-ups for that area. Sarah

Hiya Sarah,

I was wondering if you could help me as I cannot seem to find anything in the CityArk records. I am losing hope :-(

I am trying to trace 'life before marriage' of WILLIAM EDWIN COOTER born 1825 possibly in the Davington, Kent area.

This is the only lead I have (Family Search)
CHRISTENING RECORD
name: William Edwin Cooter
gender: Male
baptism/christening date:
baptism/christening place:
birth date: 10 Jul 1825
birthplace: Davington, Kent, England
death date:
name note:
race:
father's name: Robert Cooter
father's birthplace:
father's age:
mother's name: Elizabeth Cooter
mother's birthplace:
mother's age:
indexing project (batch) number: I00829-2
system origin: England-EASy
source film number: 1786325
reference number: p. 5, No. 38

However, I am not sure that the fathers name (Robert) is right as on the marriage cert it has his fathers name as Richard Cooter - Grocer.
There is a richard in the chatham workshouse in 1841/51 but no leads there.
Also, no sign of William in the 1841/1851. He was in the navy. I have a document that I think is him but I shan't confuse you with the details on there just yet.

If you could help me with this original record then It may be able to help.

Many thanks. Hope to hear from you :-)
