Margaret, Found David and Georgina Chesney both born about 1879 and in Scotland on the 1910 and 1930 census living in Rhode Island with 2 children David and Martha on the 1910, Martha and Andrew on the 1930. I have saved the images. Just need your email address. No sign of any of them on the 1920. Hope this helps Rose

Can you look passenger and immigration records, for Peter McAlinden (don) born 1887 County Antrim or Down. Went to USA early 1900/10. Tracy, Found Charles on the 1900 census living in Rochester, Monroe, NY. Still there through 1930 Guy turns up on the 1920 living in New Orleans, LA with wife Isabelle and his brother Harry. His occupation is Captain, Sea Vessel. Harry is a mate. In 1930 Guy, Isabelle and Harry are in Texas That's all I could find. Rose

Hello Rosemary Can you see if you can find any trace of my great uncle Charles and family and his brother.He was born in 1876. He arrived Ellis Island 7 December 1906 stating that he was joining his brother George at '64 North Pauline S Chicago' His wife Alice aged 30 and son Charles aged 2 arrived Ellis Island 15 June 1907 presumably to join Charles. Hello, My grandfather, Edgar Blakey, born September 15, 1894, in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, immigrated to the USA aboard the SS Ivernia on February 13, 1913. He applied for his letter of intention in 1916. In 1918 it was supposedly granted but then I believe he went into WWI. In 1923, he applied again for citizenship and was denied as it stated he was already a citizen. My question is, since he probably was granted citizenship upon entering the US Army, where are his final naturalization papers, is there any way you can look them up ? He settled in Pawtucket, RI, USA, would they be filed there or would they be filed where he served in the Army - if it is the latter, i have no idea where that was. Can you help me figure this out. Also, my grandmother, Bertha Dearden Blakey, came over in 1913, where are her naturalization papers; she grew up in Lawrence, MA, USA. Thank you, Lee-Anne Blakey, Massachusetts, USA

Barrie, I assume the Charles' last name is Cooper? I found Charles and Alice on the 1910-1930 census. Son's name is Charles A on the 1910 and Arthur on the 1920. Arthur a middle name? Only Charles and Alice on the 1930. I have saved the images. Send me your email address. Rose

Kaz, US census records start in 1790. Prior to 1850 only the head of household name is listed. The rest of the residents are numbered in columns according to age, sex, race, free or slave. Rose

hello rosemary could you look for a gilbert francis haines and louisa emily haines or hancock in brooklyn new york in the 1910 census,they would also have a child about 2 yrs old,the child was born in brooklyn but the parents were born in england.thanks

George smith Born 1891 Monmouth Newport Wales Annie Wife They left for America in the 1920s He was a miner in wales and I believe he was killed in America during a strike. I have no proof of this though. I just wandered if there was apossibility of looking on a census. Thank you shirley

Hi Rose George had no middle name and they had no children. This is all I know about them. Please do not spend any time looking if its going to be difficult. Shirley

I wish I could find it for you. It's possible he died prior to the 1930 census. Wasn't able to find an immigration record. Just out of curiosity was George's parents names Richard and Mary from Ireland? Thought I might have found him in the 1891 Wales census, age 10 months born and living Newport Monmouthshire. Mary's brother is living with them, the O'Briens. If you ever get any more info, let me know. Rose

Hi rose Thanks for your help. George Smith was born in Newport Monmouth 1891. married Alice and then moved to America in the 1920s but, where I do not know. They never had any children. I think Alice may have stayed over there. I have him on 1901 living with his Father William James Smith 44 and mother Annie Smith 42. 44 Shaftesbury St Newport and the rest of the family. Shirley

Hi Patricia, There is one maybe on the Ellis Island record but it's a return trip in 1907 with wife Annie. He's 38. Says he is a US citizen and has been in the country for 19 years but can't find an original entry. There are several Patrick Noonan's on the census records with place of birth listed as Irish/English. Immigration dates range from 1888-1895. Some are married, some are single. Sorry I couldn't find anything definite. Rose
