I have Manchester & Salford 1929 directory!!

I've found Harry Tarlton in the 1933 Kelly's, at that address. I'll just check out a later directory.

Edited to say I can't find a later directory. Harry is listed in the 1933 as a music teacher.

Hi I am looking for a Banjo Maker H Tarlton 71 Upper Moss Lane,Hulme,Manchester
Or any of the family,I have the very high class Banjo & am having trouble traceing it as this part of Manchester has been redevelop,I hope there is some info in the 1929
Directory.

Pamela - Sorry, there was no John Powney. There was only 3 Powney's listed, they were Cecil, and 2 william's. Alison

JAN - There are just a few Proctor's and Procter, and 6 of them are in the Eccles area!! They are: Ernest Procter - window cleaner - 37 westbourne rd. Monton. (Procter, ending in 'er') Harry Proctor - Joiner - 11 Anson st. Monton. Harry Proctor - Painter - 190 Trafford Rd. Eccles. H. Proctor - margarine worker - 21 Schofield Rd. Patricroft. (Think his name is Henry! as it just says Hy.) Herbert Proctor - Park keeper - 10 Davis st. Eccles. Thomas Edward proctor - Gramophone dlr - 153 Monton Road. Eccles. Hi Alison, Thanks for offering, do you have stalybridge on there? If you do i am looking for a female Hampson she was wife of Rev. Herbert Hampson, he died in 1924, trying to find out her first name- she was his 2nd wife. Thanks again Donna x

SUSAN - Couldn't find anything on John Ridings. But i did find William Thompson. William Thompson - Bookbinder - 51 Hardman Street. He is in the trades directory aswell under 'Bookbinders and account book makers' I have saved the image if you want it? Alison
