Hi Sally Thanks for the offer.I would be very grateful for info on the following folks: Lewis Parfitt born c1847 Henry Parfitt born c1848 Edmund Parfitt born c1850 They were all born in the United States and I am hoping that their father is John S Parfitt born in Wiltshire,England. They were all back in England by 1855,and have no knowledge of their mother. I am pretty sure that the young ones appear on the 1850 US census and any other info you can dig up would be very much appreciated. If you could find a marriage for John Spalding Parfitt that would be also very much appreciated. Thanks for your time Wishing you a Healthy and Happy New Year. Regards Mary

Hi Sally, Thanks very much for your very kind offer, could you please look up two births if possible in Pennsylvania, or anything to do with this family; I'm looking for the births of the following chidren; and if possible their parents deaths. Edward Baker b 1883c Pennsylvania Bessie Baker b 1886c ' Their parents were Cornelius E Baker b 1850c Staffordshire England (Engine Drive) Lydia Baker b 1849 Llantarnam, Monmoutshire Wales, England. Sarah Baker b1870 Monmouthshire, Llantarnam, Wales England Arthur Baker b 1872 ' ' ' ' Mary A (or Polly) b1874 ' ' ' ' Harriet Baker b 1880 Burgess Hill, Sussex, England I have 1900census Pittsburgh Ward 25, Allegheny, Pennsylvania Cornelius (occupation Machinist) with Edward and Bessie, I am assuming that as Lydia isn't with the family in 1900 she may have passed away prior to then. Cornelius emigrated in 1881 and Lydia and children in 1883. I don't know why they emigrated. I have already got their emigration details, but anything else you could find on the family would be fantastic. Thanks again for the offer of help. Kind Regards, Lou

Hi Sally, Thanks, and I'd love it if you could keep looking, (only if you've the time thought). Yes I have them on those census' and their marriage cert. I've only just discovered that they emigrated, as I've been searching for them for 2 years. I'm trying to find the birth dates of the 2 children born in USA, so I can obtain one of the birth certificates, I'd also love to find out what happend to their remaining children. So anything you find would be a fantastic added bonus. Regards Lou

~Looby Loo~ Report 24 Jan 2007 21:46

Hi Sally, thanks again for the new info. I'm not sure what to make of it. If Edward was aged around 27 on the census, then it's a possability he could be my man. It's well worth looking into. thanks again for all your help. Good hunting to you, Regards Lou
