That's extremely helpful Alviegal and goes partway to explaining the Loudon connection. Many thanks. Cx

Original post states Jack was born 12th April 1921, so how does the birth of a Jack Bell in 1929 fit in?

If William gave accurate age when he married, he was born before Q3 of 1893 .

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 31 Jan 2025 23:37

Sorry - Jack was born 1929.

A gravestone in Leigh cemetery has the following names on it:

1891 Annie Morton Loudon aged 3 daughter of John and Sarah Ann Loudon.

1921 Sarah Ann Loudon

1940 John Loudon aged 80

1944 Albert Bell aged 24

1956 William Loudon aged 83

1999 Elding Bell aged 83

Tomorrow is another day. Cx

ErikaH Report 1 Feb 2025 12:29

As the two Bells are buried with Loudons it's reasonable to assume that they were related, and the MMN for Jack matches theirs.............................
