A tree on Ancestry has all the Jennings names - incluing Kenneth Arthur

Hi Erikha - talk about keeping it in the family - yes your right in saying Mabel married her stepfather's son. I also tried looking for Marjories 2nd marriage to Laming but do you think because we can't find the evidence that maybe he was just a partner as opposed to a legal marriage?

Hi ErikaH - thanks for directing me to Ancestry, had a great time :-)

Marjorie obviously took the name Laming - officially, somehow - in 1946, but without a record of a marriage, the circumstances may never be known.

A possible avenue of research would be to get a copy of the 1950 marriage cert for Marjorie's address - then check the Electoral Roll for preceding years to see if she's listed, and who she's with. At least that would give you a name

The ER is searchable only by address and will be held at the main public library for the area - or maybe at the county Records Office.

I believe my late father was another son of Marjorie

My father never really spoke a lot of his family all I know is the following….
His mothers name was Marjorie, my father Victor Reeve was born 16/07/30
I know he had few brothers Dennis , John , Norman,
I know my father was in a children’s home in Bury St Edmunds and he use to visit his mother Marjorie Boggis in the work house in BSE. I know know anything about his father only that he was a Reeve, I’m doing a family tree if any one could help please,

Do you have a copy of the birth cert? If no father is named, which seems probable from the basic records above, it's unlikely that you will ever know anything about his father.

Kenneth Reeve lived until 1993, but he is not related to your father....................Marjorie claimed that they were divorced, as is shown on the 1939 register info posted on page one.

However, Kenneth Reeve is shown as 'married' in 1939.

She had two further 'husbands', again as per info posted, although only one marriage record has been found, as you can see.
The info re 'Laming' was added to the register in 1946, so her relationship with the man of that name would pre-date that

There are no male Lamings in Suffolk or Cambridgeshire in 1939

No record of divorce for Kenneth or Marjorie Reeve on the NA website. They indicate that about 80% of records for the relevant period have survived.

My fathers father name was Kenneth reeve his mothers name was Marjorie Boggis,
From into from one of my brothers when whey use to go see her they called her nana pygall, so I’m thinking she re married, I know my dads brothers were called Roy Dennis and Norman I believe they were reeve.

His mother name was Marjorie Boggis,
Then married into Reeve
And been told she married to Pygall but nore to sure about that,

You must get a copy of your father’s birth certificate for the info it will give you

Look carefully at all of the info posted on here…..it should help you.


Marjorie died in 1964 under the name PYGALL……….the third of her ‘partners’
