Thank YOU Roy for letting us help you with your tree. All the helpers on this board genuinely enjoy looking for longlost rellies and positively relish the opportunity to go digging for information. There are a few of us on this board who are from Scotland so perhaps feel more at home with Scottish place names and districts.

Never ever think of yourself as 'being a pain' and please come back to us if you need any more help.

Thanks again for this information I am quietly getting the treee filled in . As for David White's family it seems as the years wnt by he was born earlier and earlier. I can see when I get more sorted out I am going to have to join Scotish people and start to pay to get copies of certs.
Once again thanks for all your help, I know I must have been a pain to you both,

Roy Report 12 Jun 2017 01:41

Hi Liz and Chris, I thank you for all your help you have given me on my search for the White family. I must admit I am a little confused over this family myself, and living in New Zealand does not help. I now know that this line starts from David White and Jean Allan but I have no details on them.It then moved to Thomas and Elisabeth Nicol, of them I have everything but Thomas's death date. Of Thomas's offspring I really have very little except birth dates.
But this is a lot more than I had two weeks ago so I suppose I should count my blessings and once again thank you for your help.
