Thanks Maddie and safc,
The Thorndale family and Florence and Jane Gambles seem to be the right people but Olive Buckley is not the right Olive that I am looking for, my Olive was born on 2nd Oct 1894 and her husband wasFred. Again not sure that Beatrice Holland is the one I am looking for. Please could you see if there are any other possible Beatrice Hollands that would fit (they had a daughter Margaret Olive Gambles in 1920 who might be recorded with them under the surname Gambles or Holland
Thanks Tiggit
EDIT: safc, Please can you tell me, was there a closed record for an individual on the Florence Gambles household by any chance

For Beatrice there is the following which might be a possibility?
Holland Beatrice 09 Apr 1900 Married Occ Drapery Assistant Address 10 New Adel Lane, Leeds
Only other entry at the address is a'Closed Entry'
If Beatrice's husband was in the Military he would not show on the 1939 Register. Could the Closed Entry be Margaret Olive?

Yes, that's the right family, Olive and Beatrice were sisters, children of Job and Jane. I do have all the census info on this family but nothing on Fred Buckley apart from his marriage to Olive so I can now fill in a few facts for Fred on my tree.
Londonbelle, Yes this could well be Beatrice with her daughter being the closed record. Beatrice Gambles birth was recorded in the June Q 1900 (fits with the birth in April 1900) and the baptism that Chris Ho:) posted above. I do know that Beatrice did not marry until 1953, in Leeds but had her daughter Margaret Olive Mayfield Gambles/Holland in 1920, in Leeds. (not sure if John William Holland was already married and not free to marry until then) I was hoping that they would be on the 1939 register together and that I could pick up a lead for John William but looks like I've lucked out..
Many thanks to you all for your help.
