Haven't found deaths yet for William and Catherine (or a marriage) - complicated by there being other families called Ashworth in Fall River, also they moved around quite a bit.

William and Sophia Ashworth made a few trips back to England in 1900 and 1907, presumably they may have been in touch with their friends and family. Unfortunately no UK address is given.

This looks like them in 1891 in England, just before they left for USA:

Perhaps his bereavement was the whole reason for Catherine going over there. He was from England so perhaps an old family friend?

Ooh, I think Maureen may have something there. If I recall, we stopped looking for Mr Ashworth in later years once we'd found Annie.

Regards the name of Kate, it's definitely her because on the 1911 immigration papers she names her contact as Mrs Lloyd at that 1911 census address.

Keith Report 29 May 2012 17:11

Hi Maureen

I wonder if Catherine may have married Williard Ashworth, the age and place of birth are all correct.

Keith

Keith Report 29 May 2012 17:08

Hello Marie
Havent found her on a census before calling herself Kate?

The address is actually not far from where we live now. She came to Southport on the 1901 census as well, but as Catherine.

The query w have here now is that Wickcliffe Lloyd is also a family name, but on Keith,s side of the family!! The only one we can trace though was born in 1828, cannot find any more of this one.
