Hi all
I'm stuck on two direct decendants and wondered if anyone had any ideas. I lady born in Canada (no maiden name) and a chap born in Calcutta India. 1840's.They meet, marry and have several children around the empire. He then dies somewhere between one census( the only source of my information) and the next.
I would like to find her maiden name and when and how he died.
Obvs a militery family.
Any ideas folks?
Yvonne

As the surname is Smith, and you have no real idea of location , the chances of finding the 'other 4' names must be close to zero.

Aw thanks Flick , I have all the census information I can find. It's the overseas stuff I'm stuck with as they were both born in different counties and had several children on the way here, i.e Cape of good hope, Mauritius.
So I suppose not only do I need Sarah's maiden name(which hopefully I can get from birth cert. now) but ideas how they met and where they were married. It's purely curosity stuff as they are my great great grandparents and everyone else was from Norfolk!
But thanks again for your help :-)

Jax , the death ref. does seem a possibilty , I have seen it before, but now realise that Gorelston ( where they lived at the end) did come under Mutford where later its Norfolk.
