can't find that thread on advisors yet

I got a reply from Estelle re my question about being able to use other sites if one was an advisor

You wouldn’t be able to post details from other websites outside of the brightsolid group. This is because it could be an infringement on copyright laws. However, we are offering full membership of Genes, Findmypast and free credits for Scotlands People for the time that you agree to be an advisor. You can then use these sites for research and use them in your responses. We also don’t object to you suggesting words to use in a Google search to find relevant results.

...... so now we know .

..... and we'd better be a little careful about how we post stuff from other sites. Althouhg that is nothing new ... they issued warnings a couple of years back.

Just don't post verbatim ......... Janey's campaign to remove the unnecessary bits makes a lot of sense, 'cos then you're not just c&p'ing

Thats handy for people wanting scottish info then, they won't have to get thier own credits they can just ask an advisor

Ha. Three guesses. Another question might be: how did the removers know about it? ;)

Of course the person who posted it could have deleted it ...

Put a thread on that board and ask!
