Find Ancestors

Just found this thread and am now confused cos I get emails about some of my watched threads, at times multiple ones about the same thread, and dont get any about others :-S
i am just going to "untick" the box and "watch" them myself at least that way I wont have a dozen emails about the same posting :-)

This thread is to warn people that notifications are not sent by GR about any new postings on any thread. Many sites do do this, and therefore newbies to the boards often seem to expect that service on GR.


My Watched Threads was a "new" thing introduced last August ......... and it was supposed to have been disabled by GR soon after that because people were complaining about getting multiple notices about a new posting. Not only multiple postings on one day, but repeated for 2 or 3 days afterwards :-D


"They" said it would be disabled until it was fixed.

I have not heard that it was fixed!



Use My Threads instead ................... that shows all threads on which you have posted, and basically does the same thing as My Watched Threads except for the email notification.
