Hi Carole unfortunately the criminal registers are only up to 1892. If you google 'Adel reformatory' there are quite a lot of results , might be worth looking through.

Sarah, I have had a look but no sign. I think that the register shows only criminal cases that made the County courts... Those in Debtors prison do not seem to show up, I assume they may have been dealt with locally. If you google 'Devon County Prison' there are some links that look interesting

Hi Rose

I have found Mary Groggins, who was on trial in Cumberland, England in 1833. It says the trial was Michaelmas, but I don't have full membership so can't see the details of the trial. I would be very grateful if can help

Hello Rose,

Thank you for your kind offer.

GEORGE WILLIAM MORRIS, shoemaker, bapt. 14 April 1811 at Stanwick, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE does not appear on the 1841 Census with his family. (Wife Betsy, children Jesse, George and Alice).

Please, could you look for him in the Criminal Records for me?

He appears in local history records in NSW in the early 1850's and I cannot find his name in any immigration lists for NSW 1844 - 1859.

His wife died in Stanwick in 1846.

Thank you for your help.

Reece
