My cousin says that the birth was registered by Mary Woolhouse so no help there! On another site, it was said that there was a George E Hirst with his parents John and Mary Berry. Also that there was a marriage for a Joh Berry to either Jane Hirst or Mary Woolhouse! This gets worse! |

Help!!!!!! I have looked at the 1891 census and there is a George H Hirst wiith his parents John and Mary E Berry and Berry siblings. I looked in the 1881 census and he is listed as George E Hirst. This could be why we couldn't find him in any census records! If anyone is still out there I'd appreciate some input! |

My cousin emailed to say that in the book it names his grand daughter and great grand daughters as Lindsay Watkins and Sally Bean, both in Scarborough. How would I find them? No records of them on this site. |

Hi Diane |

I have emailed Mirfield Cricket Club as I saw that the author of the book was secretary there. They might be kind enough to come back with some information, or at least get the family of George Herbert to contact me. Fingers crossed! |
