Hi,Tracy, I wonder if you could look up Andrew Bogle (1801-1877) who was a key witness in the Tichborne Case, a legal matter which wen t for about 188 days in London in the 1860s. I looked on the Times archive page and searched under his name and there were numerous entries. I wonder if you can tell me what the nature of the references are to Andrew, if there is a lot or just an occasional name mentioned I know there might be a fair bit so it would not be practical for you to copy it. Also, is there anything in those search items also relating to him? I think a lot of them are not. I there is a lot, would it be better for me to get a short subscription to view them? Thankks, regards Sue.

Hi
Many thanks for your offer. I'm looking for anything on MARK MARKS who hanged himself at home 93 Blackman Street, The Borough, Southwark, London on 10th April 1849 - also if there are any notices of bankruptcy from 1840 onwards, he was a Carver & Gilder working from his home address.

Many Thanks

Annie

If possible without an exact date of death, please would you see if there is an obituary for Henry Lake Wells who died in Karachi in 1898. He was high up in the Royal Engineers.

Hello T

I wonder if you can help me again. I am looking for a death in the obits of Frances Mary West. She died Oct/Nov/Dec 1969. If thats too much trouble, don't bother, as I realise that is 3 months. Then she might not be there. I really need her death cert.
She should be in Eastbourne, Sussex.

Many thanks
Jo

Hi Jo..

Nothing for Robert Rudrum/Rudderham.

As for Watson..

The Times Monday Oct 9 1854 Page 5 Issue 21867 Column C

The Great Fires in Newcastle and Gateshead

It's too long for me to transcribe but it does mention this

Jacob Watson, compound fracture of skull.

There are several news about the fire but no other mention of Jacob.

If you like, I can save the newspaper clipping (that mentioned Jacob) and have it sent over to you, if so can you PM me with your email address please?

Hello T

I wonder if there is anything in the Times about the floods in Norwich and the drowning of Robert Rudderham/Rudrum. His DC says he died 19 Nov 1878 accidentially drowned.

A different one - anything about an explosion and fire in Gateshead and Newcastle circa 13 October 1854. I don't suppose it mentions Jacob Watson being seriously hurt

Many many thanks
Jo
