Hello Jen.
I do apologise for my error, tthe first child was aged 10 bc 1831 on 1841 census.
Both parents William and Ellen were born at Rotherfield on 1851 census so I think that must be the marriage in 1831 at Rotherfield.
Thank you very much for your help and again sorry for my error.
Kind regards Alan.

Hi Jenny
I have taken a good look at all the record you have sent and also checked out on ancestry in the census records and I am pretty sure that Samuel Bowles & Sarah King married 1803 in Brightling is the father of Samuel Bowles born 1814. Having seen that Jesse Bowles and Sarah Bowles were witnesses at the wedding on 29th Aug 1835 - it must be the same family. It also shows my Samuel Bowles parents as Samuel & Sarah. Really appreciate your help.
Can I ask where the CDs can be obtained from with this information.
Best wishes
Mary

Hi Jen

Thanks so much for your assistance with the marriage of Samuel Bowles and Lois Wood. I am not sure about the other Samuel Bowles - I'm not sure but I think the father was John Bowles and his wife was Mary - I will have to take a further look into this. Thanks also for the baptism I will look at this and see if I think they are part of my family.
Many thanks for your help. I may be back in touch.

Best wishes

ill send you the info here too ,just in case

sorry i dont have biths, only the igi for them,
29 aug 1835 samuel bowles (ninfield) - lois wood (of the parish.) warbleton
Witness wit:Jesse BOWLES;Sarah BOWLES.

jen

boy the ways thier names are spelt in ancestry are ridiculous, 1861 is the only on spelt right, but in that they have hi age way out. says b was 1821..that would have made him 14 when he wed..
1841 has him b 1816,, 1851 has 1814

there is another samuel bowles marriage (wondered if it could be his parents,
29 oct 1803 samuel bowles - sarah king,brightling,

ive looked on my bvri index,
this is what it has for a samuel bowles, and this is what it has for any children with the parents samuel and sarah

Hi Jen

I'm trying to find the birth of William WINYARD born around 1813 in Brighton. He married Martha SHEPHERD 6th Jan 1834.

I have census informatiion 1841 - 1871 and got the marriage from the Sussex Marriage Index but as yet have been unable to find any details of William's birth - if your Brighton births has any info would be grateful

Thanks
