Dea Report 5 Aug 2008 08:52

You are very welcome !

I have a few minutes - which census are you looking for them on?

You will find Mary's family living all around them on 1851 so she will not be a problem.

O.K.

Had a look at the certs -

1) - David's birth cert I believe the mother is Mary Hoare formerly West, though I haven't yet found the marriage

2) - Ellen's birth cert - This is Louisa Hoare formerly Baker and the marriage details are:

Marriages Jun 1881

BAKER Louisa Agnes Warwick 6d 721
HOARE Davis Warwick 6d 721

I will go and look for the other marriage.

Squeaky020 Report 4 Aug 2008 17:24

Well I am not 100% sure to be honest.....

I had a couple of people look and suggested it could be Baker as they found a David Hoare marry a Louisa Agnes Baker but haven't found evidence to back this up yet.

The only way I can find this out is to order a birth cert of one of the other children.... thats another £7
and all these £7's do add up ! lol

Diane

Diane Report 4 Aug 2008 17:21

oh you poor soul. Did you work it out in the end?

Libby

Squeaky020

Squeaky020 Report 4 Aug 2008 17:13

yes he did marry.... to a Louisa but when I got one of the children's birth certificate....guess what.... I couldn't read Louisa's maiden name either !!!!

ahhhh! lol

Diane

Diane Report 4 Aug 2008 17:08

Just another thought did David go on and marry and have children. perhaps if you are lucky one of his children might have had his mother's surname as a middle name
