I have received a birth certificate and I cannot understand parts of it , including mother's maiden name.

Would anyone be willing to receive a scan from me to have a look and give me a second opinion??

anyone's help would be appreciated.

Thank you !

Yes Paul,
I thought that but then when you look at the date when born : fifth of december - the 'th' of fifth and how the 't & h' join together looks very silmilar to the end of Mary's maiden name.

If you see what I mean.....

that's what doubted it for me...

Paul, just looking again though at the informant's column - father - the 't & h ' in that looks completely different there!

so you could be right!
