My dad and brother also have the same Sunday name as thy call it but my dad uses the Gaelic form of his which is Ian/Iain to solve our confusion :-)

We have loads of Johns in mine and my husband's family too. We need to call them by their surnames, or in the case of there being father and son- young/ old John etc! :-D

My dads family has no originality when it comes to names and there is at least a John or William in every generation and in most generations both until my grandfather broke the trend by calling his first Alexander the next one was John though.

another one! There have been no Johns either in any of my Grandchildren's years from 15 downwards that I know of!

There was a Peter in my class at Primary 89- 95 as I changed schools then. Have to say never met another one though.
