One of the reasons I am so naffed off with son is that his friend Matthew who is offering him the holiday did exactly the same thing a few yrs ago.
Photo's had to be countersigned then, so I went with Matthew and his mother to the passport office, as a counter signing officer.
Matthew's step father and son went on the original flight and Matthew and his mother had to book a flight the next day......... Rant over !!!!!!!!!!!

I email OH friend in UK for him as he is a slow typer.
He sits over me and tells me all the typing errors I make.
I keep telling him that I spell check it at the end but he still does it. So last time I did one for him I told to either go away or from now he could do it himself. It worked he just comes and looks at it when I am finished now.

Just sent son off for his photos and application forms.
Made him phone the Passport advice line for an apt ( on his phone as he has x amount of free calls)which he now has for Friday and has paid extra to pick up the passport the same day ! Cos there's a bank holiday in between they couldn't guarantee delivery until the day he is due to be leaving, otherwise.
Need a lie down now !!!

Edit..put a bit of my magic make up on him, as he had a few spots erupting ( he's 20 ) cos he said ' Do you think they will fade out my spots mum ?'
He was horrified at my suggestion of putting it on but is extremely pleased with the result..doesn't look like make up at all.
