Is it

I thought it was 24 , so maybe wrong.

jan50 Report 7 Jan 2009 21:31

Granted. But, being as it's late I'll give a clue for this Q (ooh, that rhymes!) think pre-metric...

25 sectors in a quarter ...?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 7 Jan 2009 21:36

I'm old enough to think pre metric, but bit tired to put the old brain in gear .lol
Also the figure 25 seems to be metric rather than imperial measures ! ...Brain addled.lol

jan50 Report 7 Jan 2009 21:39

Getting a bit tired me old self. Another clue, then. The Q word can be pronounced as a group of people singing in harmony... or am I trying to be a bit too subtle/cryptic?

jan50 Report 7 Jan 2009 21:47

Sandie - you got it. Sorry to have missed your answer above - my pc playing silly devils tonight, have to keep going back and forth and answers keep appearing and disappearing! And yes, if you look it up a quire is either 24 or 25 sheets.
Sorry for the confusion.
