The evening dresses are usually good value and they should be getting new stock.
You'll likely just spot the dress for you in a shop when you don't expect it.
Good luck!

Shoes are cream satin from BHS wedding shop - small heal about 2 inches with an ankle strap, pointed toe and beautiful beading - reduced in sale...tried them on and fitted like a glove! Too good a bargain to miss. They are shoved in my desk drawer at work lol.

Am looking at the Sale dresses so dont think they will order them in....... is a second wedding so am looking for a quiet civil ceremony - but I wont be showing dress till the day.

I think debs will order things in from other branches for you to look at, it's worth their while to get a possible sale. When is the wedding?
I got married (last time) when my younger daughter was 10 weeks old, it was in January, and I hadn't dared to shop before as I didn't know what size I'd need. I went to Debanams at Carlisle, as the local one isn't very big, saw the one I wanted, bought it (after showing Husband to be) and that was that. I didn't do any of the traditions like not letting him see the dress, not seeing the groom on the morning of the wedding as none of them had worked before!
BTW I had a job getting the shoes, cream shoes don't exist in the shops in January, I got a really crap pair that I hated and was really grateful my dress covered them.

Yours is very Beautiful Dizzy Im just too tall and I love you for calling me skinny - the last time I saw skinny was when I was about 30 - and we all know what happens after that!

Actually Maddie I found it helped me.

I am not a shoe lover and rarely find any that I really like so they were always going to be a sticking point.

Once I'd decided on the style of shoe, the rest of the outfit kind of just appeared shortly after.

Don't get the one you're not sure about hon. Hold off a bit if you can xx

Which one???

Last time I bought a cream evening dress at Debanams for, I think £90. I absolutely loved it, that was 6 years ago.

I gave up after 3 shops and loads of internet searching, nothing floated my boat so I'm having one made.
If you really can't find anything that's "the one" then it could be worth looking into, its not as expensive to have it designed and made as you think.

Maddie

When's the wedding? If it's summer, what about all the Prom dresses that will be arriving in the shops around April/May time. When I went to look for a Prom dress with a friend of mine we joked it was a pity her daughter wasn't getting married as they would have made lovely wedding gowns.

Have you thought of having one made?

28 years ago I designed my own dress as I couldn't find anything I liked. I got my material from a local market and I then had someone make it for me.(she was a seamstress) I made the Juliet Cap in matching material.
