Dear Fellow Guests,

I have just checked my (empty almost) diary, and unfortunately (or fortunately in my case) my OH is having rare time-off on Friday 7th, the weekend, and Monday 10th December, so my time will be taken up pandering to his every whim.....

Again, I will be thinking of you.....and will read my invitation properly next time, for I believed it to be on the actual day....

......and please - can you send me a doggy-bag, so I can heat it in the microwave?....

x sally

Dear Mrs. Puss,

I would dearly love to accept your invitation to Christmas Dinner, but I am afraid my family would be dreadfully disappointed if I were not available to feed them....

To have Christmas Dinner arranged and cooked by dear Specky would be much appreciated by me, as I have been given the task of Chief Cook in our family, and they all descend in droves for my amateur attempts at the great Christmas Feast....

As anyone who is in charge of providing and cooking food for vast quantities of people, to have someone else prepare and serve dinner, is the greatest of luxuries.......especially as Specky specialises in gravy......as one knows, the quality of the gravy can make or break a good dinner....

Once again, Puss and Specky, I must sadly decline, but my thoughts will be with you and your many guests on the Festive Day....

Yours, in anticipation of maybe being able to attend on a minor Feast Day, like All Hallows,

Sally, the Dogsbody.....x

Pus..... are you kidding??

We are looking forward to a lovely QUIET Christmas dinner!!

we may even have a sarnie...... in front of the TV.

DIL and son are going to her parents, and we are staying home............ oh the luxury......

We usually have it at our house... and I have to admit that we loved it. BUT, we were younger and fitter then.
