What else is there for me to look at please that will help me in my research, i stand there like a dummy not knowing what to do....any pointers ??

I want to know if my grandmother was living with my step grandfather when he died, because she married my grandfather a few weeks after the death - ooops.

Lady Jack, if you can find the parish registers they should give you all the info you need for the time you are looking at,
are the dates you want within the census ,cos if they are that will tell you who was living wit whom, Remember where ever you go to look for info, ask the staff to show you where and how, and keep asking till youve got what you want, dont forget they are paid to do this work, and probably paid for out of your contribution to Taxes.

Jacky: Glad to hear you had a good time at the Royal Court last night. Sonya is so cute, she is such a bubbly, lively character and has never changed with age. I vaguely remember the Brookside actress you mentioned (I didn't watch a lot of Brookside) and I loooove the 60's 70's music, Merseybeat and all that! Which library are you going to? The biggy in town? If I was off school I would probably arrange to come with you, hope you have some success when you get there Jacky. Not such a daft question you asked Jacky, I wouldn't have a clue what to look for when I got into the library, hopefully you'll find what you're looking for.

Rose: Glad to hear the pain is subsiding at last for you. It takes a few days for your body to get over the ordeal, good to hear you're on the mend.

Rog: Hope you are keeping well our faithful Mr Bionic and the damp weather is bothering your joints at all. I don't know about you but I've never been to the library to do research so I wouldn't have a clue what to expect to find out there. Hopefully Jacky will have some success. Also glad you included me in your last message e'en just to bid good day! :)

Hello Everyone,

The sun has come out in Liverpool.........

I went to the library..........I felt like one of Lewis', i felt a right dope.............Lol

But i did ask for help - they were very kind to me.

I found a death notice for my step grandfather, it said where he was being buried and the undertakers who was in charge, it didnt mention my grandmother !!!!

The library did'nt have the parish records for any for the 2 churches where he was most probebly buried from........Doh

So i rang the funeral parlour up when i came home, the dont keep archives going back this far......Doh again...

So now i am going to ring the cemetary to see if they can help in any way - hope so.
