I have never seen any of these threads you speak of Jeanette.

AM I ON ONE????

I think it is a bit... no a lot ... nasty to tell anyone whom they can and can't talk to.

If anyone upsets me, I will decide if I stay away or not.

Please , can I ask where these lists are?

Or, have I got it all wrong, in which case, I apologise.

Morning Deanna!

I've had a message of Mr Hassell this morning saying it was all made up last night. He's a right little tease ain't he! lol

But I do remember there being talk of a list in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all made up just to stir things up a bit! ;-)))))))

Hi Everyone,
Although I didn't have a list sent to me but I was 'advised' ...if that's the right word to use..as to who to speak to about a year or so ago. I was a little upset at the time to think that people thought me dull enough not to make up my own mind. I decided to ignore it and carry on and speak to whoever wished to speak to me.
I have only ever had one person be rude to me in the 2 yrs I have been a member so I must be doing something right. Lol
Take care and have a good day xxxx

Well, well, well. As usual I'm in the dark. Never seen any bloomin' list but then no-one ever tells me nuffin :))

The thing that puzzles me is why Mr. Hassell felt the
need to start a thread as he did if it was only in jest.
Seems to me it could have caused a lot of 'nervousness' on the boards.

My sense of humour has obviously deserted me (((

Hello (rubbing sides of head where they hit the door jamb)!!!

Thank you for your appreciation (mwah, mwah!)

*Bows* but thinks better of it as back twinges!

I have been tidying up and making a birthday card for a friend who we will be going to see later.

Does anyone have hens?

We hatched two this summer.

It all started when my son came downstairs looking as if he really had killed his sister this time and was a bit worried about breaking it to me.

I discovered that he had bought an egg from the school Spring Fair and had made a nest on his desk out of his bits of baby blanket.

He had put the desk lamp on the egg to warm it but it had rolled off the desk and smashed on the floor.

Personally, I think it was trying to get away from the smell of the baby blankets as my son insists that I ruin them if I wash them. I insist that he keeps his bedroom door shut because these blankets are not like the socks that crawl to the washer and climb inside.

Oh no. These are malicious, vindictive and thoroughly common blankets that trip unsuspecting people up on the stairs and then try to suffocate them with their smell.

Anyway, I explained to him that the egg was never going to be a chick under any circumstances and borrowed a friend's incubator and six of her free range eggs.

After three weeks, two of the eggs successfully hatched and we have Marilyn and Poppit. Poppit because I thought for hours after it hatched that its next breath would be its last, although I did not tell my son that!

We raised them in the house until the weather finally warmed up (bearing in mind that it was July) which has left them with an unfortunate taste for cat food and television. We have to wedge the doors and windows open only a crack so that they cannot get back in.

They are like a crack survelliance team, waiting for one mistake with a window so that they can barge past you, and I have to be ever so careful what we put on the television because they watch it through the window too.

The children staged a Hen Agility Championships last weekend. The daftest thing is that the HENS think they are cool. And the cats think the hens are hard.

Oh well, welcome to the asylum - I have two official loonies in the family so I suppose it makes sense!?

We used to have Bantams many years ago. Draw a line in the dust and gently push the birds head down to the line.

Move the chicken back a it and let it carry on doing its free range thing ....but it wont cross the line - dont ask me why?
