Matchless, another good point. I have noticed ignoring those who goad or hurl accusations and insults makes them do so even louder. Maybe the standard reply to those who do that should be... WHATEVER! lol |

May I just add that even when you just ignore them they cry that you have been rude to them? Have tried that route ........................ JulesXx |

You're dead right there Julie Cat. I've seen some assume that because a person is not 'one of them' anything they say is going to be offensive, even if its not, and all hell breaks out. Why can't they just accept an opinion for what it is? It sometimes feels like there is a small minority on here who have a real persecution complex! |

Reading some of the posts on some threads yesterday I was left with the mental image of vultures circling, not nice. Also I suspect that sometimes even the most innocent of threads could be turned into something if someone decides that what they want to do. |

...without being shot down in flames or branded a stirrer. This is just a point of view, nothing more, not a dig at anyone, so please dont' start. I have been watching the boards over the last few days and quite frankly I am disgusted at the behaviour of some people on here. Thread after thread making snide digs, assumptions, accusations and complaining have been put up by these people, who then turn into victims as soon as someone opposes them. I have seen goading, albeit of a subtle kind, but clearly what it is, I have seen threads deleted, only to be immediately replaced again by the same person (if I had a thread deleted by GR, that would be it for me, no way would I repeat it, thats just dumb and asking for at least a warning. Then, a whole new batch of threads appears, some asking for the boards to stop arguing, (yes I know this is another one) some complaining about threads being removed, some having digs. Is any of this really helping? Ask yourselves this. Do you REALLY want peace on these boards, because if you do, please stop behaving like kids and stop moaning about it. If a thread has gone, can't we just accept the subject is now closed, and move on? Can we stop having divisive threads put up, clearly designed to exclude, therefore potentially offensive? Can we stop having digs at each other? Can we respect one another and respect each others right to talk to who we want, and to hold an different opinion? Can we please GROW UP? Don't turn this into another argument please folks, or I will delete. |
