Well said TW All week I have been on here but not posted......Just sat back and watched which is always the best way for me otherwise my big gob would really let rip. As for ignoring some peeps........yes I do .........and no I won't say who........but I do because once you sit back and watch for a couple of days you soon realise who to stay clear of and exactly what their GAME is. Hi Jan - I know what you mean, but surely if I posted a thread entitled (for example) 'Will all short, fat, hairy redheads sign in here' it wouldnt be seen as goading? (By the way it adequately describes me and I probably would be the only person to sign in - lol) It would be meant in a light hearted manner, like for instance a lot of Hoff's threads (sorry to mention you Hoff, but you came to mind instantly and it's no reflection on you - you are merely used as an example - I hope its ok). The problem is as I see it, suspicion and whilst ever there is suspicion there will be strife. Jac |

To me goading threads are those that, by their very title invite...nay DARE certain people to post, so that it can be said they had come on the thread to stir. |

Thats the point I was trying to make Hayley - one man's meat is another man's poison, as they say. EG - if I see a thread posted by some one I know, like and respect no matter what the title of the thread, I dont immediately think 'goading thread' - I just accept it for what it and probably add to it, as I'm sure you do, So if that's the case, then why are any threads perceived to be 'goading threads'? Do you see where I'm coming from? Jac |

Evening all... Wise words as always Teresa . On the subject of threads I tend to ignore some and go where I shall be welcome and I cant see the point of going posting on someones thread where you know your comments regards what they are not going to be welcome . If its a goading thread well let em the power hungry sad bu**ers carry on. I can't even be bothered to read them. Just because I am friends with people on here it doesn't mean I agree with everything they post because at times I don't and am not afraid to say so. Does this mean I like this person any less no it doesn't. |

TW I absolutely agree with what you have said. 4 good/fun people have left g/r this week because of the snide comments made to them by a certain individuals/gang. I have not posted any new threads this week (not that I can remember) I found prior to that when I did, these certain members swooped. I have had a lot of PM's this week from people saying they have guessed why I've stopped posting new threads as they'd picked up previous comments made to me on my threads. We all have opinions and they should be respected whether we agree or not. |

It seems that since I have answered on Lynda's thread this morning I have lost respect from a lot of folks And some I have surprised But I can honestly assure each and everyone of you that I am not a bad person In fact I am a genuine person and the reasons that have made me this way is what I have seen going on over the past few weeks. This Morning I just last my rag which is unusual but If I have upset anyone I apologise and I will try to be more repectful I have been here a long time and this is out of character for me If you think that I owe you an apology please pm me and I will sort it And to those who have changed there minds about me please think again Linda xx |

I have been given permission to use the words from a PM someone just sent me. I will not name them for obvious reasons. Quote I hate all this deliberately unpleasant back-biting snarling fighting that is going on. A few years ago my family was told there was only a 10% chance I would come out of the operating theatre alive. New Year this year saw me diagnosed with cancer. Can't these people realise there is much more to life than being nasty? Unquote. I think that just about says it all, don't you? |

Added by ₪Teresa W₪ on 26/07/2007 16:58:36 Jeanette, you don't have to have respect FOR someone to be able to speak respectfully hun. That's very true TW and I was brought up to be polite to others regardless, which I always try to do.....but at the end of the day I am only human ;-)))))))))) |
