Ooops, lost me internet for a while. (wonders why I pay BT so much lol) Thanks to all those who replied in a nice adult way again, once again proving that in spite of differences, we can all take part in a reasoned and calm discussion without nastiness and back biting. Well done. You know what I think is a shame though? The number of PM's from various people who liked what is being said on this thread, but dare not reply on it. This is directly a result of all the problems we have had, people have been put off putting forward their own point of view. I think that is really sad. I also think we are ALL to blame for that Some for jumping on people, some for jumping on those who do the jumping, and those who blame everyone else. If we all started to view this board as a SINGLE collection of people, instead of two or more groups...maybe we would all think about what we put a bit more. I would like to say, sometimes, what is claimed to be a lighthearted thread, but seen by others is goading....could the reason for that be that that very thread is put up in the middle of the arguing? Its all down to timing. Something else to think about?

Very Well Put Teresa, Although it's all been said before by various people, and it's still as bad as ever. This side blaming that side for this and that. People saying, don't bring it to the boards, do it via PM. But, some of those people who have said or are saying that have Blocked certain people from PMing them, so how can anyone sort it out via pm? I have tried being pleasant to certain people on these boards only to be blanked and ignored. These people I have never had any 'fallings out with' to my knowledge. But if thats what they chose to do thats fine. Then there are the ones I prefer to stay clear of and am not afraid to tell them why. But, by doing it on here it would upset others (which isn't fair) and I certainly wouldn't waste my time pming. You get certain ones who love to stir, some who think they own the boards, some who run to GR for the slightest thing especially if it's someone they don't like who has posted. We are all individuals, we all have different views and outlooks on things, and we all have certain people on here we don't like. If we all respected each others oppinions instead of turning it into a full blown row, then some progress will have been made. To be honest, I think it's a pity GR wont allow naming and shaming, it could save alot of trouble (the wrong person/persons getting accused. I also think as I have said before that GR when removing a thread should give the reason why. I have also said that GR should make the T&C's easier to find, and easier to understand. Right, Rant over I am off for a while now. Sorry Teresa, for going on so much. :) LLxxx

Maz, sorry I probably didn't explain properly? My fault. 4 people left (to my knowledge and from what they have told me) because of what happend with Lynn and 'other stuff' that went on at that time... if that makes any sense?

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 26 Jul 2007 19:48

that's fine then Shirley-Ann, but the way I read your post was that all 4 had been targeted by a gang of members and that's what I was querying. although I have seen that exact thing happen a few times, I didn't think it was the case for these 4 members, who I wish would all come back :-)) Maz. XX

Hi Shirley-Ann I'm a bit puzzled by your comment '4 good/fun people have left g/r this week because of the snide comments made to them by a certain individuals/gang' my understanding was that Lynn left after pm's from unknown members, SB had a disagreement with someone (not sure if it is sorted, but have seen her posting again), Moo because she was fed up with the trouble on here (seen her posting today too, which is good), can't think who the other was. So I don't think there is any gang or strategy involved here - different reasons for each of them. Unless you know something else of course :-) Maz. XX

Added by ₪Teresa W₪ on 26/07/2007 18:20:13 To me goading threads are those that, by their very title invite...nay DARE certain people to post, so that it can be said they had come on the thread to stir. Good definition but then again sometimes people do go on those very threads just to stir. It's six of one and half a dozen of the other at times.
