Boy Oh Boy only our second day and on page 2 already, Queen June you really started something.Great to see so many new comers checking us out, For those that dont know I was born in Brum and now live in Canada ,I dont think I have much of a accent anymore,(not that I am ashamed of it) but I only have to say one word over the phone and everybody will say Oh Hi Marg. Guess you never really lose it no matter where you live, and I have been away from Brum for over 45years. You are right Jim about taking the people out of Brum etc. Geraldine, my Son In Law is from Pelsall, a few months ago on our old site we had lots of laughs discussing who is a Brummie and who is from The Black Country. Faith glad you had a good Thanksgiving, now for Turkey Leftovers for a few days. Dee glad you are hanging in there. Jan still looking for the strong man.if you see any let me know. Well must go do a bit of house cleaning. Now made this site my home page. so right in to it every time I go on the Internet. Bye Marg.

Hi fellow Brummies, Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I lived in Great Barr up until 7 years ago when I moved to near Barmouth, North Wales. Very popular holiday resort here with Brummies, there are more of us here than Welsh in the Summer! Katex

My father was a Cockney and his family moved to Churchill Road Aston where I was born in 1932. So it seems we may have some things in common. Welcome to you. Chrissie My wife is a Yorkshire Lass And was a WAAF in WW2 I was in the Fleet Air Arm and Trained by the RAF at RAF Henlow Where I met my wife Mary Just remember every one You can take us out of Brum but you cannot take the Brum out of us. ENGLISH AND BRUMMIE and Proud to be so. LLOL to everyone. With Your Majesty's permission I will close For to-day, your Obedient servant (Grovel grovel) Sir(cur) Jim And His Lady Mary C.

My Hubby is a Brummie born and bred [and don't we know it]from the Maypole, and an avid blues supporter. GRAMPA JIM i used to do my shopping in Cotteridge and Northfield tho it's changed a bit since we lived up there in Kings Norton,we only lived there for 2 years when we came out of the RAF, afraid i didn't like it[ Brum that is] i am a Yorkshire girl come Devonian but we moved cos of hubby's job, tho until they died my in-laws lived at Quinton. One thing i will say in defence of Brum you have always had a fantastic city for shopping. Chrissy.

Good morning all you Brummies. Just wondering if i qualify to join your mad house. Dad was born and bought up in Ward End. I was born and bought up in Staffordshire. I have been up here in the North East for seven years now. But have not lost my accent. Everyone here says I am a Brummie. I have a Walsall accent so I'm told. Feel a bit like a fish out of water with all these Geordie's. Love them to bits though, its a lovely place to live I get down to the Midlands to visit Daughters and Grandsons about six times a year. Will contribute to the party if you let me join. Jenny
