Chris ....How about this just Googled it .........
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup baking soda
3 cups of water
NOW IMPORTANT
Mix water and vinegar together first (mixing soda with undiluted vinegar can cause an explosion!!!! :-0)
after mixing water and vinegar add baking soda - mix well
Apply mixture to over leave for a few mins then wipe off . Stubborn stains? - then scrub harder . And that's it :-D

I've solved the oven cleaning dilemma. My new oven is a Zanussi pyrolitic one - set it to cleaning mode and half an hour later, a small pile of ash and a sparkling clean oven.
Simples!

Get someone else to do it, that's my tip! I can no longer get down and stretch inside to do ours (the non self cleaning bits) because of the arthritis in my knees and shoulders/neck so o.h. said he would do it. He got his sister to get one of those packs where you can put the shelves in a special bag with the cleaning stuff and they come out clean, cos she said how good they were (she works at Tescos) Well that was several years ago and the pack is still in the cupboard, unused. I suppose now his excuse will be that he can't kneel cos of the bursar on his knee since the accident.

His dad did his at the time and put the baking trays in as well, all the non stick surfaces came off lol

Can't beat the old ways

There are companies who will come round and do the job for you.
