Desmond Dekker’s “Israelites” must have been one of the hardest songs for people to understand. It was a serious song, but you wouldn’t know it when you heard some people singing lyrics like: “Get up in the morning baked beans for breakfast” The real lyrics are: “Get up in the morning slaving for breakfast” Please don’t say you thought it was really the first line :-( Pat x Jayne won’t even comment on that Bob Marley one :-( |
